Pythian Sisters collection 1893-1932 (bulk 1904-1926).

This collection contains the Colorado Pythian Sisters' annual journals of proceedings for many of the years from the 1893 establishment of the Pythian Sisters in Boulder to 1932. It also contains a booklet of the organization's constitution and statutes, a membership roster for the Boulder group from 1893- 1903, and the program for the annual convention in 1909.

The Pythian Sisters was the women's arm of the Knights of Pythias. Its function was, in the words of the 1893 Journal of Proceedings, to promote "the Moral, Mental, Social and Physical elevation of its members; cultivating a spirit of Fraternal Love which shall permeate and control their daily lives; ministering in all ways to the wants of the sick, distressed or needy...and daily exemplifying in every possible way the Golden Rule."
